Biography
Tiffani J. Bright, PhD, FACMI, is an Assistant Professor in Cedars-Sinai's Department of Computational Biomedicine and Co-Director of the Center for AI Research & Education. Her work advances trustworthy, ethical AI in healthcare by developing and evaluating models and methods that detect and mitigate bias in machine learning. A member of the Kiskiack Nation, she is recognized as the first Black woman in the United States to earn a PhD in Biomedical Informatics and the first from Columbia University to do so. She is a Fellow of ACMI.
